Child Welfare

Child Welfare - Orphanage

In 1981, one of our community members, alongside a group of dedicated women, was inspired to provide shelter for children affected by the war in the Lebanese territory. A wing of St. Simon Convent (Mar Semaan) was generously made available for this noble cause. This group of volunteers took on the mission and transformed the convent wing into a welcoming home for children in need. Over the years, several generations have benefited from the support and care provided by the center.

Today, this vital mission is being continued by younger members of our community, who are moved by the plight of these children and are committed to sustaining the support and care that has been a cornerstone of our community’s efforts for decades.
