Who We Are
Alsamiri.org is the social arm of the Renewal in the Holy Spirit Association (RHSA) – Lebanon
Members of RHSA have responded to the biblical view to “restore the Walls and rebuild the Man!”. We clearly understand that we are meant to be a light to the Lebanese society as well as to families, parishes, schools, universities and workplaces. Our history which started in 1969 has delivered countless events, retreats, formation seminars, support groups, works of mercy, as well as many age-appropriate outreaches (renewallebanon.org).
The name “Al Samiri” is inspired by the parable of the Good Samaritan, and reflects our commitment to compassion, empathy, and altruism in all our endeavors. Like the Samaritan who showed kindness to a stranger in need, we strive to be a beacon of hope and assistance to our fellow citizens.

This is one of many stories that inspired others to join hands and be part of the "Al Samiri" movement.
After their tenth visit, the nun, “Soeur Therese”, casually asked, “Is there more?”; Without thinking, my friend volunteered with a spontaneous “yes”. And lo and behold he dished out a bag he was not expecting to find! As they went through one house after the other, the nun kept asking the same question “Is there more?” and that “multiplication” would happen five other times that evening!! …
